Abstract Title:Determination of Some Cephalosporins in Pharmaceutical Drugs and Treatment of Wastewater by RP-HPLC
Biography: Dr. Mohammad Anas Alfeen has completed his PhD in Analytical Chemistry in field a Quality control for pharmaceutical products & Environment protecting at the age of 28 years from Al-Baath (Homs) University and postdoctoral studies from College of Science-Chemistry Department-Al-Baath (Homs) University. He has worked as member of Academic Staff in addition to vice of dean for scientific and administrative affairs at Al-Ayen Iraqi University-College of Medical Laboratories Technologies and Health. In addition to many scientific centers in Jourdan, Syria, and Iraq. He has published more than 13 papers in reputed journals and has been serving as an editorial board member of repute more 10 International Journal.
Research Interest: A High-Performance liquid chromatographic method was developed for the determination of Cephalosporins such as: Cefaclor monohydrate, Cefalexine monohydrate, and Cefadroxil monohydrate in pharmaceutical dosage forms and treated wastewater. Isocratic separation was performed on an Enable C18 column (250 mm × 4.6 mm i.d., 5.0μm) Using by Triethylamine: Methanol: Acetonitrile: Ultra-Pure Water (2: 10: 20: 68 v/v%) as the mobile phase at a flow rate of 1.0 ml/min. The PDA detection wavelength was set at 265nm. The linearity was observed over a concentration range of 0.1–80 μg/ml for HPLC method (correlation coefficient=0.999). The developed methods were validated according to ICH guidelines. The relative standard deviation values for the method precision studies were < 2%, and the accuracy was > 99%. The developed method was used successfully for the determination of Cefaclor, Cephalexin, and Cefadroxil monohydrate in dry syrup formulations and treated wastewater.
